Raise Grateful Children – Teach Them to Write Thank-You Notes

February 27, 2020

As a parent, you want so much for your child -- happiness, health, success, and maybe even good manners. With the fast pace of life and the continual distraction of electronics, this can be a challenge. But we have an easy and convenient way for you to do this with personalized children's notecards. With thank-you cards you buy, or they make, they have ready means to express gratitude for a gift. Gratitude is an important lesson to learn and a welcome habit for your youngster to cultivate.
Thank-You Cards for Birthday Presents

A great time to introduce this concept is after their birthday. They can write thank-you cards to their brother, sister, grandparents, neighbors, and friends. Depending on the age of your child, they can write or draw a picture or do both. Imagine the smile on Grandma’s face when she receives a hand-written thank-you card in the mail.

Make sure your child says, “Thank you,” in the card for the present. Also, ask them to write down one detail they like about their present. And, finish with an invitation to play with the new gift together. It’s best when the card comes within a week of receiving a present.
