Details

Make your child the hero of a construction adventure made just for them. When a toy truck sparks a big idea, their backyard table becomes a make-believe town—and seven friendly construction trucks roll in to help build a playground.

There is sand to deliver, a sandbox to dig, and swings to lift into place. But a muddy shortcut brings the big delivery to a squelchy stop! With a fresh plan and everyone helping, your little builder discovers that the best way forward sometimes takes a little patience. The Big Playground Build is a joyful read-aloud story about teamwork, imagination, and solving problems together.

The Big Playground Build

Every big build starts with a little idea.

When your child rolls a toy truck across the backyard table, a golden sparkle turns a little idea into a BIG make-believe adventure. A whole crew of friendly construction trucks is ready to build a playground.

There is just one problem: the shortcut is muddy, and the sand delivery has come to a squelchy stop. With a curving line on a plan and everyone lending a hand, your little builder helps the crew find a better way.

A bright, wonderfully illustrated adventure about big machines, patient problem-solving, and the things friends can build together.

What can I personalize?

Your child’s first name, gender, ethnicity, and hair color, plus an optional gift message. Each choice is saved with the book in your order.

Which character choices are available?

Boy and girl editions are available with African American, Asian, Hispanic, Indian (South Asian), or White characters. Every character is available with black, blonde, brown, or red hair.

Will the preview show my child’s name?

The preview shows the cover artwork for the character you select. We add your child’s name to the cover and story when we create the personalized book.

Can I use a nickname?

Yes. Enter the first name or nickname exactly as you’d like it printed. Please check the spelling before adding the book to your cart.

What should I write in the gift message?

A short personal message or sign-off works beautifully—for example, “Love, Grandma & Grandpa.” You can enter up to 100 characters or leave it blank.

Can I order for more than one child?

Yes. Personalize each child’s book and add it to your cart separately, checking the name, character, and gift message for each child.
